Then, we’ll take a look at Brownstown Speedway’s southern Indiana oval one night later in which Kevin Thomas, Jr. puts his name back in victory lane, without a name plate, after cruising to his first USAC Sprint win in 15 months!
Plus, let’s make a visit to California’s Ventura Raceway for some USAC history as Ronnie Gardner becomes the first driver to win the first three USAC Western States Midget series races in a single season.
As the racing schedule begins to pick up, we look forward to USAC’s “Week of Indy” that features three races in three nights at three of Indiana’s most iconic venues and events: Wednesday’s 46th annual “Tony Hulman Classic” at the Terre Haute Action Track, Thursday’s 62nd running of the “Hoosier Hundred” at the Indiana State Fairgrounds and the “Carb Night Classic” at Lucas Oil Raceway on Friday night.
Follow us as we take you back to May of 2013 for the USAC/CRA Sprint Cars’ “Salute to Indy” at Perris Auto Speedway where fans witnessed a race for the ages between Matt Mitchell and Damion Gardner as we get set for this Saturday’s edition of the “Salute to Indy.”
