BERNAL “SWEEPS” CHICO WITH “GOLD CUP” SPRINT VICTORY
Chico, CA……..Ryan Bernal of Hollister, Calif. recorded a rare “clean sweep” Thursday night at Silver Dollar Speedway, winning the 30-lap “Gold Cup” Race of Champions AMSOIL USAC/CRA Sprint race after previously capturing the 30-lap Honda USAC Western Midget race. Wheeling the Phulps Racing entry, he led all 30 laps to beat fast qualifier Andy Forsberg, Kevin Thomas Jr., Austin Liggett and Jake Swanson. As a result Bernal also leads the “California Sprint Week” standings.
