RICHARD VANDER WEERD TAKES “SALUTE TO INDY” AT THE PAS

Perris, CA……..Richard Vander Weerd of Visalia, Calif. continued his mastery of Perris Auto Speedway Saturday night, winning the 40-lap “Salute to Indy” for the AMSOIL USAC/CRA Sprint Cars. Scoring his third victory in four starts at Perris this season, Vander Weerd passed Matt Mitchell on lap three and led the rest of the way in his Vander Weerd Construction/Battery Worx Maxim/Shark to beat Mitchell, Austin Williams, Cody Williams and Jake Swanson.
