BOB PIERSON, 69

Bob Pierson, who assumed the post of Director of Operations for USAC's road racing involvement in 1999, passed away yesterday at the age of 69. In his post he had officiated numerous motorsports events at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, like the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix, the Red Bull Grand Prix MotoGP, the Angie's List Grand Prix of Indianapolis and the SVRA's Brickyard Vintage Racing Invitational last year. Our sincerest sympathies to his wife Pat, his family and his many friends in the industry.
