KT THREE-PEATS AT “FUN AT FASTIMES” KARTING ENDURO
Kevin Thomas Jr. and his Hinchman Racewear team captured Saturday’s 18th Annual “Fun at Fastimes” karting enduro benefitting the USAC Benevolent Foundation. The event, sponsored by the Tony Stewart Foundation, included a pair of 2-hour enduros followed by a pair of 20-minute races and a final “shootout” format.
Thomas becomes the first team captain to score a third consecutive victory in the event held at Fastimes Indoor Karting Center, located on the northeast side of Indianapolis, Ind. and featuring numerous USAC drivers and others.
The Hinchman Racewear Team, in addition to Thomas, included Tyler Courtney, Troy DeCaire, D.J. Hamilton, Austin Prock and USAC Silver Crown Champion Kody Swanson. Swanson emerged with the individual championship. Tony Donohue served as the sponsor/media driver.
The second-place Burco Molding team of captain Nick Richards, sponsored by Sam Pierce Chevrolet, included Damon Elff, Brad Knaus, John Laski, Aaron Pierce and Bobby Santos. The team's sponsor/media driver was Chas Messersmith.
The third-place team captained by Dillon Welch and sponsored by Linda Conti & David Noyes, included Isaac Chapple, Chris Coers, Adam Goff, Kyle Hamilton, A.J. Hopkins, Dakota Jackson and Zeke Lewis. Jeff Jackson served as the team's sponsor/media driver.
Twin 120 winners included Burco Molding and Hinchman Racewear, while Shootout winners were Kody Swanson and D.J. Hamilton.
The winning teams in the Twin 120s completed 278 and 252 laps respectively.
