CLAUSON, ABREU SCORE IN NEW ZEALAND

Congratulations to Bryan Clauson and Rico Abreu on their Midget racing successes in New Zealand. Abreu won the Dec. 26 30-lapper at WXC Speedway (Western Springs) in Auckland, while Clauson took the Dec. 30 40-lapper at Huntly Placemakers Speedway in Huntly, the Jan. 1 World 30-lap Derby at Auckland and the big Jan. 3 World 50-lap Main Event at Auckland. Tracy Hines had "top-five" finishes in all four races and Darren Hagen was second in the Jan. 1 feature after leading. Americans Jerry Coons Jr. and Dave Darland also competed in New Zealand.
