PERRIS & BAKERSFIELD UP NEXT FOR USAC/CRA SPRINT CARS
By Lance Jennings
APRIL 23, 2021... After a break in the schedule, the AMSOIL USAC/CRA Sprint Cars are back at Perris Auto Speedway (Perris, CA) tomorrow, April 24th. The popular half-mile oval had been shut down due to covid restrictions and last hosted the series on November 9, 2019. Race fans will not want to miss the “Sokola Shootout” and GRANDSTAND TICKETS ARE ONLY AVAILABLE ONLINE at tix.com/ticket-sales/pas/7. More event information can be found at perrisautospeedway.com or calling 951.940.0134.
Series director Tony Jones has announced that the Saturday, May 1st race scheduled at Ventura Raceway (Ventura, CA) has been cancelled. Like Perris, the seaside oval had been closed due to covid restrictions and now has plans to reopen in June. Discussions with other track promoters to fill the date were not successful.
On Saturday, May 8th, the non-winged 410s will head to Bakersfield Speedway (Bakersfield, CA) for their fifth point race of the campaign. “The West's Fastest 1/3-Mile High Banked Clay Oval" last hosted USAC/CRA on May 11, 2019 and “The Demon” Damion Gardner was victorious. More race information can be found at bakersfieldspeedway.com or calling 661.393.3373.
